I’ve just released Urbaneel 1.14 — available now on App Store and Google Play. This is the update where Urbaneel starts becoming more than a bus tracker.
Carsharing with RideNow
Available cars now show up right on the map, next to the buses. Tap a car to see its details — model, plate, fuel level — and when you’re ready to go, one tap hands you straight to the RideNow app to book it. When the bus isn’t the fastest way from A to B, a car is one tap away, without hunting through a separate app to find one nearby.
This is my first integration with a third-party service, and it’s the first step toward covering your whole trip — public transport when it fits, a car when it doesn’t — all from one map.
A New Region on the Way
Under the hood, 1.14 lays the groundwork to take Urbaneel beyond Cyprus. There’s nothing to announce just yet, but a lot of the plumbing for a second region is now in place. Stay tuned.
A Cleaner Product
I reworked the route and stop cards and tightened up dozens of small details across the app, so everything reads a little clearer and feels a little smoother.
What’s Next
I’m continuously improving Urbaneel to make getting around by public transport easier for everyone — locals and tourists alike. Got a suggestion? Contact me or join the Telegram channel.
